New York Workers Circle School
Manhattan Location Open House
The New York Workers Circle School in Manhattan is hosting an Open House on Sunday, May 18th, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Tompkins Square Park (7th St and Ave B).
We are a secular, progressive Jewish Sunday school focused on cultural heritage, social justice, and community building. Our program includes Yiddish language, Jewish traditions, activism, Israel Palestine from a diaspora perspective, a B’nei Mitzve program, family trips, and more. Classes are held twice a month on Sundays at the Sixth Street Community Center, 638 E 6th St.
Our dynamic educators bring diverse backgrounds in arts, activism, and Yiddishism, creating a welcoming environment for multifaith, multiracial families.
During the Open House, children will enjoy live music, Yiddish singing, and crafts in Tompkins Square Park while parents connect with current families and learn more about our program. At 12:15 PM, visiting children may join our current students in the classrooms at the Sixth Street Community Center. Children ages 6 months to 13 years are welcome.
If it rains, the park activities will be moved to the Sixth Street Community Center.
