Call on Congress to pass four federal bills that will stop voter suppression in its tracks and ensure equality at the ballot box for all Americans.

The ACE Act, or American Confidence in Elections Act, is being framed as a bill to protect our elections. In reality, this is an anti-voter bill that will disenfranchise millions of Americans and increase the influence of corporations and billionaires in our elections.

The John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act (H.R. 14/S. 4) will stop voter suppression in its tracks by:

• Strengthening the Voting Rights Act of 1965

• Updating the preclearance formula to ensure any states with a recent history of voting rights violations are required to obtain approval from the federal government before making any changes to voting practices and procedures

• Renewing and strengthening the ability of Americans to fight discriminatory voting laws in court

The Freedom to Vote Act is a transformative piece of legislation that will help create a democracy that is truly of, by, and for all of the people.

The LIFT the BAR Act, recently introduced in Congress, would remove the five-year bar and other barriers that deny critical care and aid to people and their families who are lawfully present.
