Course Goals: To achieve basic listening comprehension and conversational abilities in Yiddish without learning the alphabet. Comprehension will be emphasized, but students will work on their ability to converse freely throughout the semester.
Course Tools: YiddishPOP.com lessons from chapter 5 and other supplementary texts.
Additional Info: This class is a continuation of Beginner Conversational Yiddish II. Knowledge of the vocabulary and grammar of YiddishPop chapters 1, 2, 3, and 4 is recommended, but no knowledge of the alef-beys (the Yiddish alphabet) is required.
